Artist Jan Heath has explored many techniques in printmaking. Presently, she is most involved with woodcut, collagraph and monoprint (some with collage, pastel, handmade paper and linocut).
She studied art at Montgomery College, Takoma Park, MD and the University of Maryland. A native of the Washington, DC area, she and her painter-husband, Jonathan Heath, now have a house and studio in West Virginia.
Her work has been exhibited in many regional, national and international juried exhibitions, receiving many awards.
The linocuts, woodcuts and collagraphs are printed in limited editions by the artist and are signed and numbered. The monoprints are one-of-a-kind images; although some are similar in theme and are numbered, they are not part of an edition.
