This desk was based on the Raeff Desk. It has a book-matched natural edge curly cherry top that flairs at both ends. A bank of three drawers is set in a spalted maple case. The sculpted drawer fronts act as finger pulls. Since this is the side that is somewhat hidden, the client wanted the "public side" to have some interest. So, the opposite side of the bank of drawers has an irregular-edge spalted panel that extends past the casework.
