All American Made - Since 1994
Local artisans, Pennsylvania artisans, or artisans from all over the USA: there's a lot to see at Main Exhibit Gallery & Art Center! Visit our expanded gallery space and take a workshop in our Art Center.
About UsMain Exhibit Gallery & Art Center, Ligonier’s oldest fine art and craft outlet, located on West Main Street, opened in August, 1994 and features work by established and emerging artists from Pennsylvania and across the United States. Carrying only American-made products not only supports our American craftsmen, but also enables us to know our artists, their reputations and the quality of their work. It also offers us the flexibility to offer our clientele specially-commissioned work to suit their particular needs.
The gallery is a venue for owner Paul Sirofchuck, an architect and fine woodworker, to display studio furniture of his own design. Paul’s reputation for award-winning furniture design and craftsmanship draws clientele from many areas, including Pittsburgh, eastern PA, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, Florida, and Canada, who want to see more items on display. This prompted him and his wife, Mandy, to expand Main Exhibit’s space with a recently-completed 2,000-sq-ft handicap-accessible addition, which now includes lower level classroom space. |
Searching for new artists includes lengthy discussions with them about their processes, in order to educate our clientele about the techniques involved in making the work, and to provide insight about the artists themselves. Through our 26 years of connections with other nationally renowned artisans, we now offer a variety of craft workshops in an effort to take the art “spectator” experience to the next level of “art creator.”
Our workshops and classes in pottery, stained glass, watercolor painting and other media are designed to provide creative opportunities for anyone who wants to learn new skills and be energized and inspired by talented instructors and other students of varied experience levels, ages, and backgrounds working side-by-side, exchanging ideas and techniques. |
