Pottery with Alexis Dillon
In this six-week class, Alexis Dillon, an experienced potter and retired high school ceramics instructor, covers basic throwing and glazing techniques with some advanced techniques for intermediate potters. Students learn how to make cups, bowls and other vessels, how to alter thrown pieces, how to make and attach handles and lidded vessels. Class time includes informal discussion, demonstration and hands-on instruction. Registration includes 25 lbs. clay, glazes, one bisque firing and one glaze firing. Classes are limited to 6 students, ensuring a high level of individual attention, and are on a first-come, first-served paid basis.
