Beginners Stained Glass With Lead
Leaded Panel Method

Learn how to create a leaded stained glass panel by making a small panel reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie Style.
You will have use of all tools needed for the project, as well as supplies such as lead, zinc, flux and solder. You may choose from colored, clear and textured glass. We will have project glass available for a $10 fee, or you may bring your own.

In this class you will:• learn about tools used for the leaded panel technique;
• learn how to cut glass using practice glass (provided). This class will focus on cutting straight pieces. We will show you how to do this to minimize glass wastage; • prepare pattern pieces for lead • cut glass to a pattern (You will need to purchase the glass for your project. We will have glass available for purchase, or you may bring your own.) • grind glass • lay out glass on pattern • cut lead came to fit pattern • solder your panel • clean your finished panel |
