Perfect beginners wheel class that includes demonstration and hands-on instruction. In the six sessions, Amy will cover centering on the wheel and basic throwing techniques: how to make cups, bowls and other vessels, how to alter thrown pieces, and make and attach handles. This is strictly a pottery wheel class. Slab work will not be explored in this class. We feel it takes several sessions to grasp the art of throwing and centering.
A separate class will cover basic glazing of your fired pots. Registration includes all materials you will need for class, one bisque firing and one glaze firing. Classes are limited to 6 students, ensuring a high level of individual attention, and are reserved on a first-paid basis. The cost is $185 for five sessions of wheel and one glazing session. Size is limited to 6 participants and pre-registration is required.* Classes are held at Main Exhibit Gallery’s fully-accessible Art Center 301 W Main Street • Ligonier • 724-238-2310 |
