Take a Spin on the Wheel


Have you ever wanted to try your hand at making a bowl or mug on the potter's wheel but didn't know where to start? Maybe you took ceramics in high school and haven't touched clay since. Or perhaps you've had some experience but want to brush up on techniques in a friendly community of other aspiring artists! Our beginner classes are perfect for you. Our instructors will cover basic throwing and centering techniques and help students work towards their project goals in ceramics. Try Out the Pottery Wheel!

This instructor-driven 3-hour class is for the beginner who wants to try out the pottery wheel before committing to a longer class session. You'll learn about centering and will throw a few pots. We'll bisque fire and glaze them for you. $65  includes all materials and firing.

INDEPENDENT POTTERY WHEEL

For those who know how to throw and center on the wheel and are interested in exploring pottery without an instructor we offer Wednesday evenings, 5:30-8:30 pm. Clay, glazes and tools provided.  $50 per session includes bisque and glaze firings.
