Family Valentines Clay Workshop

Valentines Day isn't just for couples! Celebrate as a family with this fun clay workshop and create a beautiful heart dish to keep (or give to your favorite valentine!). This workshop is designed for ALL ages, but most especially for children with their families looking to do a fun project together. Children under 14 may take the workshop with a family member at a discounted rate. Each adult and child will receive all the materials necessary to make their own ceramic heart dish! (All adults attending with their child must register and pay as well. Cost is $20 per child under 14, and $40 per adult/children ages 14 and up. Please contact us with any pricing or registration questions.)

Under the guidance of Artist Mandy Sirofchuck, you'll learn the basics of working with clay slabs. She'll help you learn the slab technique, form your dish, and work with various methods of imprinting and decorating the clay. After your dish dries, we'll bisque-fire it for you and then glaze-fire it, and let you know via email when it's available for pickup. You WILL get messy, so bring an apron or wear work clothes and closed shoes that can get dirty, and leave your rings and fine jewelry at home. We have space for up to 10 participants in this class.
