Explorations in Pencil Ages 6-12

In this 4-week class for youth ages 6-12, students will learn the basics of drawing in graphite and be given a sketchbook and set of drawing materials to keep! They'll enjoy both group and one-on-one instruction as they explore drawing from life and from photos of their choosing. Clair will cover the use of materials, basic composition, shading, and value, and help each child create one-of-a-kind drawings while also learning a skill they can expand the rest of their lives!
Students are always most passionate about drawing things that interest them! Clair asks that each child come prepared with some objects (stuffed animals, action figures, etc.) and photos that they would enjoy drawing.
